AEC welcomes newest bishop
GUADELOUPE The Catholic community of the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe has a new bishop. Bishop-elect Philippe Guiougou was ordained the bishop of the Diocese of Basse-Terre et Point-à-Pitre on Sunday, July 9. He succeeds Bishop Jean-Yves Riocreux who served from 2012 to 2021.
