The reconstructed Church of Sts Mary and Andrew, Treasure Cay, which was destroyed by Hurricane Dorian September 2019, is scheduled to be dedicated Sunday, November 5.
According to a September 24 memo from Archbishop Patrick Pinder of Nassau, the church has been under reconstruction “for some time now”.
He hopes to have a joint service so that the Dedication Liturgy will include parishioners of both St Francis de Sales and Sts Mary and Andrew in one combined Mass.
“We give thanks to God that we are finally able to announce the date of the Dedication. We look forward to the celebration,” Archbishop Pinder said.
